This painting is one of a series from 2021 on mythological symbols. I became fascinated by visualising the underworld and how movement and energy would float and exist there, bright lights in gloomy conditions. The Faun is the goat-man of the forests and mountains, and I was contemplating him so full of life illuminating the shadows.
